Default why is it dying?

I have a 1990 acura integra with the stock b18a1 in it. It wouldn't start for a while and the fuel filter drain plug was dry so i changed the fuel pump, still wouldn't start. So I changed the map sensor, it ran after that, but will still quit sometimes, if it sits for a while it restarts. The question I have is what other things might it be?

welcome to the forum. If the fuel pump has been changed, is the filter good, also when the car is running, check to see what fuel pressure is in the fuel rail during run. this might show if the pressure is dropping off, or the fuel injectors not opening to allow fuel into the cylinder.

it has a new fuel filter on it as well. my dad has a fuel pressure tester, but we aren't sure how to hook it up. it runs just fine most of the time, it just dies every once and a while, let it set for 5-10 mins, it starts just fine.
