Default 08-12 Accord P0339 Starter heat shield?

Hi, my daughter's 2009 Accord 2.4l has an intermittent problem starting - when hot. A P0339 code appears.

After many researches, I am wondering if the malfunction of the starter, especially non Mitsuba originals, could be caused by the fact that the starter in 'enclosed' and suffering from heat.

Has anyone ever tried to install a starter heat shield ?

Thanks!

Replace the crank sensor. Heat not your problem for the starter but likely for the sensor.

Hi, thank you for your reply. What would be your opinion about those who replaced the sensor but never got rid of the P0339 until they installed a Mitsuba starter?

Starter has ZERO to do with your code.

DTC P0339: Crankshaft Position (CKP) Sensor Circuit Intermittent Interruption

General Description
The crankshaft position (CKP) sensor consists of a rotor and a semiconductor that detects rotor position. When the engine starts, the rotor turns and the magnetic flux in the semiconductor device changes. The changes of magnetic flux are converted into pulsing signals to the engine control module (ECM)/powertrain control module (PCM). The CKP sensor detects injection/ignition timing for each cylinder and engine speed. If an abnormal amount of pulsing signals from the CKP sensor are detected, a malfunction is detected and a DTC is stored.

Enable Conditions

Malfunction Threshold
Other than 58 pulses are detected during intervals between reference pulses for each crank revolution. This condition has been detected for at least 30 times.

Diagnosis Details

Conditions for illuminating the MIL
When a malfunction is detected, the MIL comes on and the DTC and the freeze frame data are stored in the ECM/PCM memory.

Conditions for clearing the MIL
The MIL will be cleared if the malfunction does not recur during three consecutive trips in which the diagnostic runs. The MIL, the DTC, and the freeze frame data can be cleared by using the scan tool Clear command or by
