i have a 89 accord lx with the carburator still in it it has 189k miles and i plan to change all that but right now i need it its m everyday driver i drove it to work this morning (keep in mind this is not the only time it has happened to me) and it ran all fine after work i started it and it shut right off so i gave it gas when i started it and as long as i kept giving it gas it would run i was just opening the hood and unplugging this thing on the filter and plugging it back in then starting it and it would work but that didnt work today so i attempted taking the filter out and that failed too so i fought it back home holding it in idle wich couldnt go below 1k or itd stop running but i drove it home and i let it shut off in the drive way then rolled to a stop aand started it again and this time it worked fine i dont have a clue whats wrong and could use some help ive change plug and the distributor/rotory button i cnt think of much else to do cept change the whole carburator
