all my lights dim when at an idle and when i push the gas they get brighter does this mean that my alternater is going? please help me

 

Idle might be a bit low, check with your service manual or and see if it is the right rpm. If your batt light is not going on, the alternator should be good. If you have added opt equip to drain power, it will dim the lights. If the battery is old or weak, it too will dim the lights at idle. old battery is 5 to 7 years old, and if you have a low amp battery. all will attribute to a dim lights at idle.
