Default 1994 accord lx coupe starts in second gear and goes to 3rd only

Good afternoon everybody first off I like to thank everybody who has written in the past I have been scrolling through this forum and it has helped me tremendously. I acquired a 1994 Honda Accord LX coupe long story short Car only wants to start in second and go into third. I can’t get it to go into first or the fourth gear even downshifting the transmission. I hope it’s not a new transmission that I need. It’s an automatic by the way.

I just change the transmission fluid using the Honda fluid. It was pretty dirty not sure how long or if Pryer owner even did it.

As I’m working on the car I noticed the connector to the bottom of the solenoid wires were loose. Connected the pins to the connector and wouldn’t you know it shifts now through all 4 gears.
now it stalls out at the light. Going try to time it and put new plugs on it. So far I’ve put new distributor, cleaned egr plate, cleaned the idle valve new map sensor, put original air box in, new transmission fluid, new struts and original exhaust manifold with muffler to make it quiet😊👍🏽
