totally rebuilt car from possible junker. got it on the road but transmission was slipping when changing gears above 3000 rpms. also speedo would rop out from time to time. got to the the point finally lost 3rd and 4th gear and got service light. looked it all up on youtube and changed every sensor and solenoid on tranny. even changed speed sensor. all brand new. each time after first starting car and driving around its fine but problem starts again after a few minutes. got a used ecm from the junkyard and about to attempt that. need some options. i have basically changed everything. is there a relay. input and out sensor new along with new lockup solenoid and shift solenoid. dont think idle air sensor would cause tranny to slip or not shift.

 

welcome to the forum. wondering what type of trans fluid are you using?

 

havent changed the trans fluid yet. it might cause shifting problems but it wont drop out the speedometer.
