Default 1999 Accord electrical issues

Hello all, I have a 1999 Honda Accord that is doing some strange electrical stuff. A while back it started shutting off while going down the road, I can't remember now which it would do but either the engine would shut off and the instrument panel would stay powered up or vice versa. Then it became hard to start as the engine would turn over but apparently there was no current to the engine to spark and ignite the fuel. Then all of a sudden (sometimes after many days) you could try it again and it would start no problem. Now the cruise control doesn't work and last but not least the right rear taillight stays on even when key is off. Any ideas?

Thanks, Charlie

welcome to the forum. Possible short in the system. May need a wire diagram for your car to do any trouble shooting.

Id start with a close look at the Electrical portion of the Ignition switch. There is still an open campaign at Honda dealers in the USA to replace the Electrical portion of the ignition switch under warranty if it fails... even if its been replaced BEFORE.

Hope this helps!
