Default 2001 Honda Accord

Hey, I recently bought an 01 Accord, 2.3L V4. The car is stuck in limp mode, won't exceed 3,000 rpm, of course vtec won't kick in. When I got it smogged, the guy said my car was kicking out code P0420, yet I haven't been able to have it give me that code and my cel light hasn't turned on. Not quite sure what to do. Any help is greatly appreciated.

P420 = cat is below efficiency
Which could cause the vehicle to go into limp mode??

Should I try replacing the O2 sensor and see if that changes anything? The cat was replaced not that long ago

I would take a look at some of the data pids to find out what is going on
It could indicate which O2 sensor is faulty
Or, it could point to a different problem
Don't go changing parts without a good reason
Itwill get very expensive trying to fix a car that way.

Okay got some new information finally. Check my vtec solenoid, wasn't opening when a current passed through it so I swapped it with one I know works. Had a code for bad EGR valve but after swapping that and clearing the code and cleaning out EGR port, that issue seems to be fixed, but I still can't get past 3,000 RPM. Today as I got to 3,000 RPM, it finally shot out a few codes. Theyre p0300, p0301, and p0302 which are random/multiple misfires detected, as well as misfires in cylinders 1 and 2. Spark plugs are NGKs from about 12,000 miles ago. Checked my plugs and they don't seem to be black from running rich or white either. I don't mind swapping them again just to make sure. All of them look similarly used and no signs of damage. Not sure where to go from here. Could it have something to do with the timing belt falling out of sync at higher RPMs?

Hello, I can't find where I can post a new thread, maybe because I am a new member. I have rear tail lights to a Honda that I can't identify what vehicle they go to. I appreciate anyone's help.
