Default 2001 Type-V - DTC 22

Hi,

I've got a problem with my accord, it keeps going into limp home mode and storing diagnostic code 22.

This relates to the VTEC system and according to the troubleshooting flowcharts is either an issue with the VTEC pressure switch or the VTEC solenoid.

I've located the VTEC solenoid, and will probably have a go at changing it myself, however I'm not sure where the VTEC pressure switch is, is it the sensor that attaches to the body of the VTEC solenoid? Anyone have a picture?

If it is attached to the VTEC solenoid, does a new solenoid come with a new pressure switch already installed?

Any help appreciated.

Thanks

Ailwyn

If it helps I believe the F23Z5 engine in the Type V shares the same VTEC system as one of the 1.8 variants (DB18?)
