Default 2004 accord Security light

Hi could anyone help me with my problem. My wife has a 2004 accord ex. When she first got the car there was a light that came on when she would unlock it with the remote key. The light would also stay on when she would exit the car and then go off after about 30 seconds. This does not happen now. All the interior lights work (maps, dash, door, small roof console light) . I can’t remember if it was the two roof mount lights that stayed on , but it seam to me it wasn’t that bright. Is there some type of delay switch or something that we may of deactivated ? Any help would be appreciated .e help me with my problem?

This sounds like a door switch or a control module issue.Did you check the fuse first?

Is there a Separate control module for the interior lighting, and if so where would I look and how do I test it?
Thanks for the reply,

Look in your owners manual for your car if it's not the module,It may be the Multiplex control unit ,they run anywhere from $85 to over $100. It's behind the fuse box. Unbolt the 10mm bolts holding the fusebox and push on the retaning clips should losen the fusebox up ( disconnect the battery first & have radio code handy) unplug the green plug on the multiplexer then for the fun part! use a 90 degree pick tool and pry the clips holding the unit in with a twisting motion after that the new one just pops in or unplug the fusebox far enough and use a screwdriver to get it out.

I feel like a real dumb ***. I got in my wife’s accord to warm it up for her and looked up at the dome light that wasn’t working. I seen a switch between the lights that said door and off. It was on the off side. I switched to door and everything works just fine. Thank you for your replies and time. Sorry for the bother
