Smile FACTORY SECURITY SYSTEM ON 2002 Accord Coupe

My security system suddenly stopped working one day, but my keyless entry still works, when I go to push the lock button again I get no horn activating the alarm. I didn't see it as a big deal until a few days ago my rear window had gotten shattered. I have been having problems with the front hood latch, could this be causing my security system to not activate? If anyone knows what I should trouble shoot instead of taking it to a dealership would be greatly appreciated

Lubrication on the hood latch will fix that up. The spring gets worn, and the tension deteriorates. As for your alarm, have you tried replacing the batteries in the remote?

Yes, it isn't the batteries, I also tried reprogramming the remotes, and also lubricated the hood. The lock, unlock, trunk, and panic all work, just no horn or blinking light on the door
