I wonder if anyone has a sense of the reasonable life expectancy for this car in mileage or years. Not trying to set a record, just wondering where the point is at which upkeep becomes excessive. I take care of it, getting recommended maintenance.

 

welcome to the forum. I know of many accords that now have 300k+. some are in excellent condition, few are burning oil at 1/2 qt per 2k miles. well cared for, belts changed at recommended times, same engine, just componets replaced as needed. happy owners, many do their own maintenance. (same trans, auto or standard.)

 

Our 2001 Accord has 126,000 and we have not had any problems at all. This Honda and the two previous Accords have been the most reliable cars I have ever owned.
