2007 Accord 2.4L start up problems.
Here to ask potential solutions to my car problem.
I recently been having start up problems on my accord, the car will start but it sputters on as if the car was choking, Also longer crank time. Once on it seems to drive fine. Only problem is the sputter start when it turns over. I installed a cold air intake kit on it a couple years back and it has never gave me problems but I did check for lose connection or cracks but I didn’t see any. A second opinion has told me to replace the aftermarket intake back to the original but I’m not so sure that’s gonna fix my problem. Maybe it’s the vacuum lines that are clogged or fuel pump? Hopefully you guys could give me better insight before i decide to change it back, In which I would have to buy some of the missing oem parts. Thanks.
**also the car burns a lot of gas now and has been giving me the code that my o2 sensors are faulty on which I have already replaced but it didn’t not fix my problem**

Sorry don'tknow much about the engine in an Accord, ....
2.4L engine should be a 4 cylinder engine with two O2 sensors.
The first O2 sensor is after the after the exhaust manifold.
The second O2 sensor is after the catalytic converter.
The first O2 sensor tells the ECU the results of the burn.
And then adjust the the pulse width modulation signal going to the fuel injectors.
It is recommended to use OEM or Honda original parts for O2.
Other wise, problem may persist and fuel economy will suffer.
The second O2 sensor monitors the efficiency of the catalytic converter
If your engine has them, ..
Would check the MAF sensor as that determines the amount of air going to the engine.
If you put in a cold air in-take then hope you kept the MAF.
Next would clean out the throttle plate and in-take plenum
Even go so far as to clean up the idle air control
Next check the EGR system.
Oh, when was the last time you put fuel injector cleaner in the gas tank?
Well, hope you got a little better insight into your engine
Let us know how it goes and what the fix was.
It may help others

I haven’t cleaned the fuel injectors since I’ve had the car, Should I use the liquid cleaner through the gas tank or should I physically take them out and clean them? and the o2 sensors I bought were not oem they were kwiksen o2 sensors. Not sure what the plenum on a intake is but This weekend I’m gonna take out the aftermarket intake, clean it, clean vacuum lines, reinstall both o2 sensors with oem parts and clean fuel injectors and hopefully that will fix it I will keep you updated!
Also, wanna try this before Installing the whole original intake kit back in the car because my mechanic is telling me that he thinks it’s the intake pipe and it needs to be changed back to the original but I don’t think so because it’s not cracked or loose. So I wouldn’t think it’s the pipe or installing the original would help me in any way. Maybe my knock off o2 sensors are giving bad readings?

Your vehicle would just use fuel injector cleaner.
When did you replace the O2 sensor?
Did it give you problem from first install til now?
Personally, I would not return to the old in take.
Only make sure it is good. And no leaks
