I have an 07 Accord LX with the standard stereo with CD player. I would really like to buy the stereo that comes with the EX which as an in-dash CD Changer. I have seen these on Ebay but have some compatibility questions that I'm hoping to have answered.

First, will this work. I am curious about whether I can simply plug the EX stereo into my LX.

Second, I've noticed that the EX stereo comes with dual-zone climate control, whereas my LX does not. If I plug the EX stereo into my car, will the climate control work? Does the entire system reside inside this unit?

Lastly (and somewhat unrelated), instead of buying an iPod integration kit, is there a way to simply hook up an auxilary jack to the back on the system and wire it to plug into my iPod?

i don't know about upgrading stock to stock stereos but there are wire harness kits so that you can upgrade to aftermarket stereos, it retains all the original wires and wont void the factory warranty. don't forget the bezel kit as well so that you can fit the stereo in. around $20 for the wire harness kit and around $15 for the bezel kit.

i recommend purchasing a head unit that has a usb connector instead of a 3.5mm phono plug. i put in my flash drive and it loads a lot faster than burned cds with mp3 on it. i'm anti apple, but that's another issue.
