2007 Honda Accord Rear Break Pad
Hi,
I have 2007 Honda Accord with 36400 Miles on it. I had gone to Dealer for regular oil change where I was told to have a Maintainance B service.
After Finishing the service they recommended me to do a Rear Break Pad Change as it was only 2mm.
My front Break Pad has 6mm left.
They offered me a coupon and quoted me 175$ for it.
Do you guys think that it is too much? Should I go with someone else.
Please Advice.
Also After checking my Maintainance File. I found that last year 28th March, they had recommended me do a Maintainance B , that time I had 23321 miles on my car. Today 11 Months (36347 miles on car) later they again recommended me to perform and Maintainance B and were able to convince me.
Do we need to perform Maintainance B as frequently as 1 year?
Or did they fool me?

welcome to the forum. on your rear brake, you can check with a regular brake shop, and get a quote from them, or midas, or a shop recommeded by AAA , or look thru the yellow pages, call friends who have their cars repaired by good shops.
on your b check, go to honda america, and sign in for free, you will see the scheduled maintenance for your cars and how the dealers are suppose to do the maintenance. at certain miles and time, some checks repeat, this is how the maintenance on a dealer cared car is done. But in the future, your resale on the car will remain a lot higher, ( not sold back to the dealer) You can have your brakes and maintenance done outside provided all the maintenance records are kept and what is done. Once out of warranty, you can do a lot of maintenace yourself.
