Question 2008 Accord V6 CV Help - Hard spill

Hi there!

My GF has an 8th gen '08 Accord V6. This thing has been through a lot. Literally. She's driven it through trees, other cars, everything but the kitchen sink.

Seriously though, it's only half her. The car falls apart all the time. Before we met she had the motor replaced, and since I've known her the left side ball joint came apart and broke a bunch of stuff and now the same thing has happened to the right side of the car.

I'm fixing it for her this time and I've almost got it back together. What I cannot for the life of me figure out is how to get the CV shaft off! All that's left of it is the tranny-side inner joint and boot. The shaft came off in the accident and this is all I've got to work with. The YT vids I've seen show it coming out with a prybar. I tried that but I can't get leverage on it with it sitting on jackstands. From what I can see I'm not even sure if this is the right shaft since it SEEMS to go back further than I can see (like Civic style with a half-shaft+CV shaft that's like 2' long). The internet seems to think it's just a regular CV shaft, but I'm not convinced. What say you, Honda experts!

I'm about $500 in the hole on getting this thing rolling again and I can't wait another week on it. I'll do whatever you guys suggest!

Thank you.

Usually, the CV shaft comes out of the tranny with a pry bar.
But, have heard of some that were a B-itch to get out.
I have seen home made tools to give the Joint a shock to loosen the shaft.
Vise grip on one end. Attached to a slide hammer.
I have seen some use a chisel and a hammer to smack it out

It should not be rusted in
And the only thing holding it in is a metal ring
Just needs enough of a shock or whack to move the ring passed the in-dent/notch
Good luck

have had that happen also ...once on a ford tempo , I was about to just junk the car I was so frustrated with it finally used a pry bar from whatever side I could worked it out using some penetrating oil and smacking the pry bar with a hammer probably took me 2 hours or so but it did come out
