I did use the forum search function to see if anyone else has posted a solution but I found nothing so here goes my post!
So I did some serious battling trying to remove dual prong muffler hangar today but alas it was hangar 1 me 0. I tried pry bar, big screw driver through the middle open hole and a few other options all while having some penetrating lube all over the frame hangars. It looks like all the specialized tools for removal would have a very tough time removing this one because there is very little room to get a tool in there.
Anyone have any tips on how to remove this tough problem? Pic below showing what I am up against.
Looks like the muffler has to be freed to move and then with large channel pliers press the nub lower end into the rubber
Then move muffler to continue to remove the hanger out of the rubber hangar
