I had the same problem with a new 1988 Accord . I sent it in to the dealer for service. When I got it back it started fine but the idle was a little funny. I drove it until it got up to temperature then it started stalling under braking. The service was to adjust the valves and they did them too tight. When the car heated up, the valve gap closed allowing the valves to slightly hang open.
