Unhappy 92 accord starts then dies

I have a 92 accord Lx, automatic 4cyl. with 90K miles. the car has never had any issues and has always gone to Honda for repairs. It was running perfect one day, turned it off to get gas, when I went to start it up, it would catch and shut rite down again. I tried to start the car for about 7-8 times and then it finnally started and ran. Got home and shut it down, and tried to start again and it would not. I replaced the Main Relay but it is still doing the same thing. any idea's and or tips fixes, would be great....Thanks

welcome to the forum. check your distributor, coil/ignitor, be sure your spark plugs and wires are in good condition.

I second that other guys emotion. I can almost be certain there is some arcing in you distributor cap, or your cap just needs to be replaced.

I saw a similar problem that was caused by a worn out ignition switch in a 91 Accord. Drove us crazy until we wiggled the key in the ignition. Started right up and ran for over a month until it happened again. My wife is still mad a t about that one.
