Hi all! Might have the same problem as above post. I have a 2001 Honda Accord V6 with roughly 128K miles. Recently I keep getting the code of P1259 01/01 (Fault: 01, Pend: 00). I've changed the oil and the oil levels have remainded at full. I have been using Full synethic since I bought the car new. Coolant level sits at correct level and has been changed about 6 months ago. I recently used Seafoam in the engine and gas after I first incurred the above code reading. I know the P-code is a V-TEC system fault which relates to oil pressure or Solenoid problems. Any further guidance you can assist me with? Thanks!

did you try cleaning out the VTEC solenoid if the metal screen inside gets clogged up it will give you a malfunction . ??? i don't feel like searching for the accord diy i will leave that up to you but here is a 2001 civic diy as a reference. http://www.civicforums.com/forums/11...e-up-mods.html

Great link and info lowlife9 - Thanks. I intend to see if I can do all of those maintenance items because I have seen a fuel mileage decrease over the last few years as well. I'm searching all over for the Vtec Solenoid but can't seem to find it. Most of the videos and pictures out on the web are of the 4cyl engine. I have the V6 3.0 - I took all the decorative caps off the engine still no sign of the part. Would you happen to know where it is located? From what I understand it looks like a smaller silver oil fuel filter or it is different on this car?
