Default Brake lights out. 2005 Honda Accord

All three brake lights have gone out. I have checked bulbs, fuses, and relays to figure out the problem. Nothing is seeming to work. Also not sure if it is connected, the backlight to the radio went out at the same time. All other lights and functions of my car are working perfectly. Anybody have any ideas?

Welcome in.Check the brake light switch - normally situated inside the car under the dashboard adjacent to the brake pedal. Check that the electrical connector is still attached and that there is a voltage supply to one of the pins. Disconnect the connector and using a multimeter on the resistance setting, check that the brake light switch operates as expected when the switch button is depressed

Default brake lights

Check your brake switch. Does your shift lever move out of park? If not you got an electrical problem. And your backlight on your radio is caused by a circuit problem in the radio if it is stock radio. Common problem. Depending on your warranty you can get it fix. If not bitch out American Honda constantly and they might be able to cover some of the cost. Works most of the time.

Be interested in knowing if it was the brake switch.
