'03 Accord EX Rear Brake.
On passenger side I could not get the caliper plunger to screw back into the housing. After a while I gave up and unscrewed it. After getting it out I saw that there was some built up surface rust which appears to be holding it from going in completely probably due to a tear in the rubber dust shield. I could see no other reason for it not to go in.
I cleaned the rust up but there still is some pitting. Can I get away with still using it, at least in the short term?
Is there a place to purchase just the plunger? All I can find on line is replacing the entire caliper. Right now I can't even find the nomenclature for this part.

have you tried a honda dealer for the plunger, or a salvage yard that may have a wreak
