Hi all, 2008 LX-P 5 SPD unknown mileage
I replaced the shifts linkage bushings yesterday. When I tested the shifter, it can go in first, third and 5th but not 2nd, 4th, and reverse (while the car is off). I don't get the clunk feel when trying to get it in gear. if I go to the transmission, I can easily move the lever the linkage is connected to. I can easily move the lever forward and backwards. It's as if the cable is not stiff enough to push the lever in gear, or something is preventing the shifter from moving all the way down into gear. Is the cable adjustable, meaning is there an adjuster on the cable to increase tension

IS there something I can adjust, or was I supposed to do something before pushing the bushing into the lever? Has anyone experienced this before?
