Just bought a 2023 honda accord l-ex hybrid. A large irregular band of condensation, about 2' wide and 4" tall, forms on bottom center of windshield. Can't get rid of it by turning on wipers. Weather it's very humid in Boston. 90 %. Defroster doesn't help. Turning heat up to 78 does help, but it comes back when heat is 70. Never had this happen. Does anyone else have this problem? See attached pix.
a lemon?
You say it's on the outside and then you say the wipers do nothing. Is the moisture on the outside or inside?
Heat from the engine will keep the bottom of the windshield warm and as the night comes on it forms dew.
welcome to the forum. in Westchester County when my Fit does like your car, I put on a/c, window defrost, 3/4 heat until its gone then cooler temp for comfort. with wipers its wiped off and usually stays off. each car may be different
Thanks! Ill try that. On the two days this week it happened, the outside temp was about 74 and the humidity index 90. Since then, the humidity has gone to 60 and the problems hasnt recurred. I'll try your suggestion when it gets humid again.
