Daytime Running Lights on a USA 1991 Accord
Good day everyone. I'm looking to add Daytime Running Lights to my 1991 Honda Accord 2dr Coupe, it is a USA Car. I know in 1991 the Canadian cars had Daytime Running Lights. And I'm sure the USA cars have the wires in the factory wiring. So is there a way to hook up the lights that came on Canadian Cars? Just what is involved in doing it? As always I thank you all for your kind time and assistance. I did try researching it on this forum and in Google, but could not find any help.
On my 2007 CRV, Honda uses the hi beams at 60% power for DRL.
This is done thru pulse width modulation with 60% power on and 40% power off duty cycle.
To get DRLs for you vehicle, I would guess that it needs a DRL module.
Not sure if the USA vehicles in 1991 had the wiring for DRLs or compatible DRL modules.
So, for me the first thing to do is to get wiring schematic of a possibly compatible DRL module
and see what it needs in terms of powers and grounds along with inputs and outputs.
