2004 Honda Accord EX. The driver side dome light switch stopped working. I was able to purchase the switch from aftermarket and this still did not fix the light.
I purchased another switch to ensure that I didn't have a faulty switch. Still did not work. It appears Honda only sells the entire dome housing assembly for this which far exceeds the price of the switch.
Does anyone have other recommendations?

if you do need another dome light assembly , check with a local auto wrecker, a lot cheaper than buying new from dealer..I just replaced the one in my accord where the plastic inside the assembly broke apart into several pieces, and the switch just push up into the assembly not worth trying to glue back together...I got it from my local u pull it yard ,4 bucks...problem solved , I tend to think heat in the summer on the roof cooks the plastic way to much making it brittle
