Exclamation Heater Problem ?

Now that it is cold I have had to use my heat every day. Positioned to high, as the car warms up the heat comes on as it should. However, several times last night after it was warm and working fine when I come to a stop, the heat will suddenly drop to a cool temperature from the vents without me doing anything to it. As I begin to drive, it will come back up to temperature. What's going on here ?

My Accord is 2006 with about 71K on it. I also have a loud power steering issue on start up which just started happening also...I added the correct type fluid to the high level fill line, but that did not help...thinking maybe the power steering pump, or maybe this could all tie in ?

Also, I bought this car certified pre-owned w/ 10yr/100K warranty when it had about 6K miles on it...will these items be under warranty ? How can I find out ? Thank you for your help !

you might want to take the car to the dealer, or read the warranty and what it covers. the noisy p/s pump sounds like the pump is starting to fail. and the heater core may also be covered under the warranty. only things not covered by a normal warranty is tire ware, wiper blades, normal ware and tare items. Most mechanical is covered. heater core should not go bad so soon. Anti freeze is not normally covered.
