Hey, I have Honda Accord 25th addition, 1996. before the check engine light went off, something came up with starting on and off the car. When i turn the key, the lights and radio etc. come on, but when i turn the key to turn over the motor, nothing happens. Not even a cranking sound. Like its dead. But the battery is fully charged and the alternator is good too. The starter said that it failed, but might only be because the car didn't turn on that time. The guys at a car shop said it could be the crankshaft?? Im not sure exactly what is the problem, and also if anyone knows exactly what needs to be fixed and how much the repairs will be?? That would help out a lot, Thanks!!

 

welcome to the forum. with the ignition switch on short of start, turn on your head lights and see if they go on, if they do, shut down and brush clean both the neg and pos terminals on your battery, also clean your ground cable attach point.
