you lease a car when you have bad credit and some money to put down, and don't intend to drive more than 10k miles a year, and at the end of the lease you turn in the car and have nothing to show for the money you have paid to lease, also good for a business write off. you purchase a car if you intend to drive it a lot and have ownership at the end of all the payments. yes you will have an older car, but it will be paid off. most Hondas make 250k miles with proper maintenance. similar to renting a home, throw the money in a trash can, you own nothing. purchase a home you have equity. Just my opinion on what I have learned.
