Default Horn sometimes works, sometimes doe not work?

My wife's 2000 Honda accord is up for inspection. 2 Dr 4 cyl ulev, 265k miles.

The horn sometimes works and sometimes does not.

Here's some info that may be related:

She has the red SRS light on when I first got to work on her car. I found a guide where you unplug something under the steering wheel that's connected to a dummy socket(not connected to amything) and put two wires into it, and did a cycle of crossing/uncrossing the wires and cycling the ignition in a specific order. It worked for a while then came back, I did it a second time and it's stayed off.

If you're asking why I did this instead of taking it to the dealer, it's because the dealer is not in the budget.

Also when unlocking passenger door with key, her alarm goes off. Only the passenger door sets it off.

Fuses look okay.

What could be the issue?

it could be a loose connection in the steering wheel. i would never take my car to a dealer especially for something this Miniscule if you can't figure it out find a local mechanic.

I've been trying to find a wire guide for the horn in the steering wheel, does anyone have a link?

yeah something like that would be difficult to find online i would suggest buying a proper manual not the cheap haynes manual but the good chilton manual. i bought the cheap haynes from autozone to get the proper lash valve specs and it had the DIY but didn't even have the clearance specs i was pisst.
