But, if the radiator fan (driver's side) is not working wouldn't it cause the overheating of the engine? I don't have this problem at all. The passenger side fan is the AC condenser fan, isn't it? It works just fine.

 

I agree with you. This don't sound right.

 

I ran out of the office and drove to another mechanic to pick his brains. He says that when AC is on both fans need to engage. Only the AC compressor one does. Maybe it only comes up to cool of the engine but something prevents it from coming on when the AC os working? Not sure if it's possible. I will have the guy put it in tomorrow, hopefully it will work. I will report.

 

Your gas is good? That fan may not be working and it should be fixed but I'm not convinced it will fix your cooling problem at idle but we will see.
