Default Piston Ring Service Advisory/Warr. extension

Just joined to see what might be going around the forum on my issue. Took car in yesterday due to check eng light flashing and running rough. Turns out there is an issue in 3.5 V-6 piston rings misaligning and causing plug fouling. There is a warranty extension to cover. Anyone else experience same? This is my first Honda and wonder if my last! replaced rings in 2 cylinders and plugs in 4.

im surprised honda actually admitted to a fault and issued a recall you should feel so lucky. im still waiting for them to admit fault to there 01-05 civic automatic transmissions failures but i guess thats just wishful thinking. im guessing its fallout from the takata airbag fiasco. they don'tneed anymore bad publicity shame on honda i call for seppuku i mean only a couple lives were lost from exploding airbags.

This is not a recall. Only offered if you bring in your vehicle with the right issues. Noted as an covered repair under extended warranty. There is an official notice on NTSB noting the issue.

wow i guess im officially disgusted with honda then as if the airbag murders weren't enough. a service advisory is a half *** in-house attempt at a recall before it becomes common knowledge to the public.
