Default Questions: 2014 Accord LX in California

Hi All,

I have been inquiring about the car in the recent past and will be buying it in the last month of Nov or in the First Week of December.

I have few questions:

1) I have contacted many dealers in my area (Orange County), and many of them have come up with OTD price directly which looks tempting. Do you think that I should inquire more details from the dealer considering a good OTD price?

2) Why would a dealer tell me that he is under lot of pressure to sell a car?

3) What does this Internet Price means? Is it just the selling price without including taxes?

4) Do you think that December would be a good time to buy the car compared to November, because most of the dealers told me that their winter sales has already started and will be good until January 6th.

5) If I should wait until December what is the good time to buy in December?

6) Do you think that Honda will come up with new offers in December?

Please answer my questions. ( This is my first time buying experience)

Thanks

welcome to the forum. OTD pricing is good, do you know what equipment the car has or what model you will be getting or do you ask for the same equipment to each dealer? Most dealers are under pressure to sell cars, they need to pay for overhead, salesmen, and that is their job to sell anyone a car to make money. intenet price normally bypasses the sales person, like a fleet sales. You better know what you are odering and what it has. and usually it is a cash deal like you already have your finances set up, cash, bank check, personal check. you sign and take the car usually in 45min. anytime of the year is good to purchase a car if you have done all of your homework such as OTD pricing at different dealerships, or internet pricing. best time to purchase a new car is when the newer models are already coming in, they want to dump the new year older ones. Purcahse the car when you need it at the best OTD pricing or internet pricing. besure to check with Nada.com to check the invoice pricing. Honda comes up with good new offers all the time depending on how much they want to sell the car. If you go to Edmunds on car sales, they have a few good training stories to read on buying cars and sales men. Good luck.
