AT tranny problem 91 accord exr
I have a 91 accord exr with auto transmission. I need a bit of help.
From a stop position I step on the pedal and it the engine has to rev up before it starts to slowly move forward The "S" shift indicator light lights up on the dash indicating the computer has a fault code. I checked the tranny fluid level, and it was ok, clean looking, etc. I checked the codes by shorting out the diagnostic plug under the glove box area. However, I don't get a tranny code, and the "S" light just stays on. I reset the computer by yanking the 7.5A fuse under the hood. It seems like the problem went away and I drove the car for a day. However, the problem just happened again today. Haven't checked for codes because my car is at work here and I don't have tools on me. Hopefully I'll be able to drive home and get the car to my shop. I'd hate to buy a tranny computer unit, because they're non-refundable and would be a waste of money if that's not the real problem. I am going to check all the grounding tonight too. Any ideas anyone?
Thx
