Transmission "Pops" out of Gear

87 Accord popks out of gear on 4th gear on a 5 speed trannsmission.

Any Ideas on where to look to begin troubleshooting?

Welcome to the forum, only thing that can be checked is the fluid if not changed for a while. your syncronizer may be waring out in the trans. Not sure if there is an adjustment to make.
