Turbo help
So i知 looking at putting a turbo on my f22 accord, its a 95 ex-r. The problem is i cant find much help for actually building a motor for more boost. All the forums and threads I致e read just say run 5-10 pounds of boost with the stock components. I知 looking to make around 500 hp and i figure to do this i need around 35 pounds of boost. What is the cheapest way i can make this happen for a (hopefully) budget build? Id also like my car to be reliable so I won稚 be running this much boost all the time. Just for races. I知 more than happy to keep 3 separate tunes for low boost, around 15 pounds, then lastly the insane tune for 35 pounds. TL;DR what parts do i need to upgrade to rip 35 pounds without blowing up my car?
edit 1: this is my daily so please keep that in mind

money. there are not many on this forum that builds Honda's to that horsepower rating. import tunner magazine could also help with lots of info.welcome to the forum. to keep it close to stock, you can get a good used turbo with intercooler set up from a salvage yard and assemble it on your accord. if you want to get more power, it will take a rebuild of your engine, cam, piston, exhaust, fuel inj, ecm, and use of high octane (no pump gas) a turbo kit can also be found on ebay, jegs, moog, turbo kits.com. all this is not cheap. Horse power increase to 500hp costs lots of money. not many on this forum build Honda's like you would like to. sorry for the lack of info.

Okay yeah thats a great start and very helpful!! I知 not afraid of a rebuild because I know a ton of people that like to work on hondas. I was hoping to keep the build below 5-7 grand if that would be possible? Any ideas? Are there some steps i could skip? A few people have told me all i need is new pistons, rods, seals, and injectors. Could an f22 handle that much boost with just these upgrades? My biggest worry at the moment is i知 not sure what kind of shape my block is in. If i find there are no cracks could i get away with just these parts and an ebay turbo kit?

okay so sleeves, pistons, rods, seals, and injectors should make an f22 handle 500 hp? And you think i could get this done for less than 5-7 grand?

Have no idea of costs, never mod a honda to 500 hp. i can only go by other honda owners who have mod their accords and what they paid for to do it, You need to sit down and start to calculate what is needed and add up all the costs of parts before taking on the mod. also include 10% overage in cost.
