Default vtec engine to non vtec transmission

I'm new to Honda cars and could use some advice. I bought a 94 Accord non vtec automatic 2.2 dx. I have a line on a 2.2 vtec with wiring harness and ecm out of a prelude si but it is bolted to a manual. Will the vtec bolt up to my automatic and would it hold up to the additional power of the vtec? Would like to learn more about Honda engines and transmissions, anyone know of any good web sites (not getting all the letter and number designations Honda uses on there drivetrains).

Should have done a little more digging. CD5 tuner forum and Honda swap forum deals with more than what wheels will fit my Honda and if a cigarette lighter out of a 91 accord will fit a 96 accord.
