Weird electrical issue
Greetings.
I’m looking for help with a very strange electrical issue on my 2004 Accord EX V6
Background:
I don’t drive the car these days my SO does and she says it had recently taken a long time to start (2 seconds). She took it on a short trip of 1 mile each way. Car ran and drove normally until this last trip. wasn’t running rough or acting funny. First the battery light came on during the first mile. She stopped at her destination for 2-5 min then started home. On way home the airbag light came on within first few blocks, then everything electrical went dark except engine. Then the engine just died and wouldn’t restart. Battery is maybe 3 years old car in Dallas with hot weather.
Symptoms:
The power seats work. Sometimes most dash lights/indicators work and sometimes less. Car doesn’t turn over. There was a fast clicking coming from the engine fuse box even when the keys are not in the ignition. I eventually disconnected the negative terminal. Clicking is not from trying to start it, clicking was happening with no keys and car parked for hours.
I hope it’s something stupid like bad ground, bad fuse or bad relay but I fear dead computer

A bad ground would not have a relay clicking away.
It would be like you took off the ground cable.
Relay clicking could be from a computer driver problem
But, before condemning the computer, we need to do a few troubleshooting tests
First find out which relay is clicking away.
Determine which system it is related to.
Then get an electrical schematic of the affected system
Determine which wires it concerns. Test the wires.
A relay that clicks away with out the keys in ignition is usually from a short to power or ground
I would be looking for frayed wires. Any wires rubbing. Water intrusion.
Experience in finding such things would help a lot.
Knowing where to look and what to look for.
Anyway, good luck.
