Window Stuck
I have a 1987 Accord and the drivers power window is stuck. The window was making a grinding sound like the gears were striping, but now it makes no noise and won't move. The other windows work and I have checked the fuse. I have the inner door panel off, but was wondering how to get the window motor off. Do I have to take off the regulator? Does anyone know of a website that shows how to take these off? How to lower the window to remove the bolts holding the glass to the regulator? Thanks for your help.
I'm not sure how you would go about lowering it. You might be able to loosen the whole regulator assembly and gain access enough to remove the glass. The regulator will not move with the motor attached (at least I don't think so) and I doin't think you can get to motor mounting bolts with the regulator in the door.
go to autozone.com, register for free, put in your car info, go to vehicle repair guides, to body and trim, to door and regulator and it will show and instruct you how to do the regulator and motor fix.good luck
