Default 2000 civic 1.6l engine/trans removal

planning on removing my 1.6 engine and transmission as a unit with cherry picker. I do not have access to a lift and do not want to have to remove extra components to drop the unit from below. I have read that it is easier to remove the unit from the top. I just can't see where I need to hook the chains on the engine to balance the unit and make sure it is attached securely. The rear main seal is totally shot and I am putting in a quart of oil every 150 miles. I also need to change the timing belt and components plus oil pan gasket is seeping. So as long as I need to pull the tranny to access the rear main, I though it easier to pull the units as one. Put it on an engine stand and do all the repairs out of the vehicle. I have pulled front drive engines before but with mfg lifting brackets installed plus diagrams showing the lifting points. I can not find such information for removal through the hood. Btw, engine has 213,000 on it. Last timing belt replacement was 122,000. The body, frame and suspension is sound.

Thank you for any information.

You will want to bolt the chain to the intake or head at both ends. You will be able to swing it around a bit just be sure to get it to pull as close to even as you can. Just hook that link and you'll be able to manipulate it.
