Default 2004 Civic EX losing coolant

Help! My 2004 Civic EX is losing coolant. Can't find any leaks, bad hoses, or water in the oil. No white smoke from tail pipe. I lose about a quart every 500 to 1000 miles. What's going on?

check inside your car at the heater core, or can you smell anti freeze in the car. on a cool morning/night, put on the defroster and see if you get more fog on the inside of the windshield then clearing up the glass. No leaks even when hot? is the rad cap condition good? Try to borrow a pressure tester and pressure check the rad when cold and with proper pressure the leak may show. ( don't over pressure the rad )

Acmech52,

I do get a faint smell of coolant sometimes. I notice the radiator holds pressure. When I remove the cap after the car sits a while I hear pressure escape. I'll check out the defroster tonite. Will post findings tomorrow.

Thanks

I have the same issue and I can only smell coolant when it's just about to start overheating again, and my windows do fog was more for the first 10 minutes or so the car is running.

You could have a very tiny leak somewhere and not know it,I had one in a seam and could smell it but never find it until I pull a pressuer test.
