Question 2005 Civic 1.7 - cranks but will not turn over

Hi,

My 05' Civic quit on me on the freeway and it won't turn over. The code pointed to the crank sensor which I replaced (purchased via amazon; Beck Arnley 180-0393) and the car still does not turn over.
I removed the oil cap and when the car cranks I can see the internals moving (cam) which I believe is a good sign.

What else do you guys suggest? There are no current codes as they were erased as I disconnect the battery while replacing this sensor.

Thanks in advance,

~JV

Back to basics.
Check for spark
Check to see or hear if fuel pump is running
Check for clogged exhaust
Check for injector pulse
etc.

Thanks for your input. Will it be obvious upon removal of the timing cover?

It will be obvious if you know what to look for
Otherwise, it all looks the same.
