2007 Honda Civic LX Sedan - Removing gas fuel cable latch from trunk or wheel well
The trunk fuel latch release cable is totally damaged in my 2007 Honda Civic LX 4 Door Sedan.
I have to totally replace the Trunk/Fuel release cable however i am having a tough time removing the portion that latches and releases inside the fuel panel door. I have tried sticking my hand through the trunk and trying to turn, spin, push and pull in order to release and remove the latch but it seems to be very very tight.
I have heard that you have to remove the wheel under the fuel panel door and within the wheel well in order to release the cable. However, i am not 100% sure if this is correct... i also see alot of other information such as in the link below but dont have a 100% clear picture of what needs to be done.

Also, the fuel door is closed and i have no way of opening...
Does anyone out there know how to properly release fuel latch cable so that i can continue installing the new trunk fuel release cable
