im not even sure if thats what it is. i have a 1.5ltr engine. next to the fuse box under the hood is a wiring harness that has about 12 or so wires on each side and is contained in a rubber sleeve. both sides of this thing are packed with what is either melted runny plastic or some unknown goo and i believe that its keeping my engine from starting. can i just splice the wires all together or is the harness really necessary. it looks llike a very expensive job to pay somebody else to do.
