99 Civic Redline issue
I've called a bunch of tuning shops about this issue and here's where I've ended up. I have a 99 Civic coupe and I recently did a factory engine swap with. Along with the engine I converted the car from an auto to a 5-speed. The car now only wants to rev out to 5k RPMs. I tried swapping the computer to a manual trans ECU but it didn't fix the problem. I was hoping a tuning shop could flash the system and simply raise the redline to the proper RPMs but no one I've talked knows anything about these older civics. Thoughts? I would like to go about this as cheaply as possible as it is just a stock car at the moment. I was hoping to avoid having to buy expensive tuning software that would be overkill for what the car is capable of in its current state. Thanks in advance.
Can you be more specific? I'm aware that some tuning will likely fix this, but I'm unfamiliar with Honda in general so I don't exactly know where to start or who to talk to. I mean I'm on a forum for crying out loud...
You really didn't read the original post did you? Literally the first sentence says that I called tuning shops and this is where I ended up. I mean if you have a performance shop you think could help me out feel free to drop their name and number and I'll call them.

Initially I kept the factor ECU from the car in the car. Then upon realizing the redline issue, I swapped the ECU for a manual trans one of the same year. The problem remained.
