hello all whenever I go to start my car it cranks for lack of a better word, weak and as soon as I take my foot off the clutch it dies I can have it stay on as if I press the gas but it sounds rough and shakes can anyone steer me in the right direction? maybe battery, something in the fuel system? idk

That is slower than normal.
Have a shop test the battery first. Most do for free. That can be weak.
If battery OK, then your starter should be replaced.
Best to have a shop look at it to verify the problem first.

 

Try taking off the accessory belts and cranking engine
If it runs faster then accessory is slowing it down
If not then starter could be faulty

As for idle??
Clean throttle??
Check spark plugs and ignition coils??
Check fuel pressure??

 

Maybe the alternator?
