Hi everyone. Quick question I'm hopeful someone can provide some insight on....
I'd like to replace the arm rest cover on my daughter's 2012 Civic EX-L Sedan, as it is badly worn. Did some research online, but can't seem to find an easy way to remove the OEM cover. Note this 2012 model DOES NOT have the sliding cover installed. Everything I found online seemed to have a guide for the models equipped with the sliding cover, but nothing on this model.
Easy enough to remove the arm rest from the center console. There are 6 screws attaching the upper & lower pieces of the arm rest together. Four screws are simple to remove (Yellow arrows), but the 2 forward-most screws are covered by the arm rest latch (Red Arrows) & seemingly can't easily be accessed. Is there a trick to remove either the latch or these final two screws to get the cover off? Any other ideas?
