Well the Cold air intake on my Honda is at the top of the engine if you drive into that much water your engine is toast anyway.Never said the B17 would gain 40Hp .I was refering to Larger cubed small block american powerplants.

well cold air intakes on civics especially 2001-2005 go all the way down to the splash guard in the lower bumper area.

ok, thanks for all the information.. i already installed it and replaced ebay filter with AEM dryfilter... works great!

Good for you, you will notice a more pronounce engine growl with the new CAI,don't challange any Mustangs to a match,LOL

good decision on the AEM dryflow there the best in my opinion no oil gunking up sensors they also have a built in velocity stack which is nice. did you remember to do the idle re-learn procedure thats very important ???

idle relern resets the ECU and allows the computer to adjust to the added air from the new intake.

We put CAI on several Hondas here and never done a relearn,never needed to.
