i have an 89 crx with an auto trans. last fall i was drivin it home from work, i started to take off and i think the tranny went out. so i coasted to the side of the road. the engine would still run but when i pushed the gas i wouldn't move i had no gears at all and when you put it in park it sounded bad.i was going to get another trans but before i spend the money i want some more opinons, never had one go out want to make sure it is the problem. didn't know if could be the torque converter or something

If park is making noise the trans probably is alright and your problem might be axle shafts.
