Default d15b???????

i recently put one of the rods through the block of my D15B v-tec motor...Is it possible to take the head off this engine and put it on another block?Does the block have to be v-tec or can i use any one?

Also will any engine fit in my 93 civic LX?

welcome to the forum, you should get a v-tec lwr block, go to wikipedia.org and look up honda civic. it will give you all the years and vtec blocks you can use.

i had the same problem with my 98 civic ex. no as long as the block is a d-series anyblock should bolt. to be safe stick with a 1.5 though. the vtec sylanoid is located in the head it is basically an extra over sized rocker that takes place in the higher rmp and over powers the 2 smaller ones that are ingaged in the lover rpm's. and if i remember correctly rockers and cams and valves are in the head. so no you do not need a vtec block to answer your question.
